- Highly trainable and eager to please. Responds well to positive reinforcement. Excels in water sports, agility, and obedience.
- Grooming
- Professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Brush 2-3 times weekly to prevent matting. Curly or wavy coat requires regular maintenance.
- Health
- Screen for hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), and GM1 storage disease. Generally healthy breed.
- Exercise
- Requires 60-90 minutes of daily exercise. Loves swimming and water activities. Needs mental stimulation.
